Who is recruiting
The Luxembourg Media & Digital Design Centre (LMDDC) is the digital enabler for skill development in Luxembourg. LMDDC is an Economic Interest Group (GIE) formed by the Ministry of Education, childhood and youth (MENJE); the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR); and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
The services of LMDDC include:
- Creation of engaging digital learning experiences leveraging AI, XR, Gaming, IoT, interactive videos, animations and simulations and advanced web content
- Selection, adaptation and hosting of open-source software and provision of a toolbox to create and deliver digital learning content
- Guidance and support regarding the strategic and operational implementation of digital learning tools
- Benchmark and dissemination on advancements in digital learning technologies via posts, articles, and events
Your tasks
The LMDDC is currently partner on the European research projects Horizon Trustex and Interreg ECHT which aims to improve the traceability of chemicals in textiles. The project will generate a wealth of knowledge that needs to be transformed into an accessible and engaging knowledge base and training content. We are therefore looking for a Junior Instructional Designer to support the content transformation. Under the supervision of the Instructional Design Manager, the main tasks for this position are:
- Be a proactive member of the project consortiums
- Identify relevant knowledge sharing and training contents
- Guide the partner organisations to provide the necessary information and feedback
- Design and implement interactive e-learning contents, including simulations, quizzes, scenarios
- Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create learner-centric experiences
- Ensure the integration of the e-learning content into Learning Management Systems (LMS) Moodle.
- Develop multimedia-rich content including simulations, quizzes, scenarios, and other interactive elements together with LMDDCs multimedia team
- Ensure that all e-learning content complies with H5P, SCORM, or xAPI standards for integration into Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Test, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the developed e-learning solution
- Conduct pre-launch evaluations of the learning materials to identify areas for improvement based on learner feedback
- Participate in LMDDC events
Your experience
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Educational Science or a related field
- A first experience in instructional design or similar with a project to showcase (portfolio, web page or during interview) is an asset
Your skills
- Understanding of instructional design models and e-learning best practices
- Ability to combine learning theory, design principles, and learning technology, into practical solutions
- Visual design skills, with the ability to create a user-friendly, engaging learning experiences
- Familiarity with e-learning development tools such as H5P, Articulate, Adobe Captivate or similar
- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning experiences
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
- All-round team player, open-minded, friendly, willing to learn and explore new paths, and able to work in a dynamic international environment
- Required languages: English; French or Luxembourgish are a plus
